DRIVE: The AC Cobra can be built for Left hand (LHD) or right hand (RHD) drive.  *This is specified upon ordering.

Drivetrain Configuration: Front-engine with manual or automatic transmission typically comprised of a Ford Windsor V8 (289, 302, 351 or 427 CID) and a Tremic 5 or 6 speed manual transmission or a Ford automatic with overdrive.  

Fuel Tank Capacity: 15 gallons total

Suspension:  Front indpendent suspension developed from unequal length A Arms with coil over shock suspension; Koni brand hi performance shock absorbers with coil over dampening springs and sway bar.   Rear suspension 

Chassis Construction: Complete jig-welded original style 4” round tube frame.  Engine mounts designed to accept small block Ford 289, 302, and 351W engines, optional mounts for Ford Mod Motors (4.6, and 5.0).

 

Body Construction: The fiberglass body will mount to the steel tubular frame as well as adhere to the original body lines and panels.

Overall Length: 158.0″, from front to rear.

Width: 70.5″ with standard fenders from side to side.  

Height: 48.0″ from ground to the highest point on the body.

Wheelbase: 90″ from front wheel center to rear wheel center.

Weight: 2,250 lbs is typical with a Ford 289 or 302 CID V8 engine.  This weight may fluctuate with changes in the engine or transmission selection.

Weight Distribution: 46.9% front, 53.1% rear is typical but depends on drivetrain and other choices.
